Pushking, a rock band from Saint Petersburg, Russia, dedicates the rock suite "Freddie" to Freddie Mercury. The cover shows an empty throne with a crown and a red cape; the illustrated booklet continues this tribute to the singer and the world of Queen.

About this product

The idea for the project began in 1997 as Konstantin (Koha) Shustarev was walking home on Basil Island. After the rain, the sky cleared and a melody came to him, forming the basis of a suite dedicated to Freddie Mercury. The project stayed with him over the following ten years.

In 2000, a demo was presented to several music companies in Moscow to seek funding, continue recording and prepare a release for the Russian market. The album was finally completed and released in 2007.
