Terms of sale

These terms and conditions govern orders placed with Espace Jouets S.A., operator of Bazar Suisse in Montreux, and the use of its online shop. By confirming an order, the customer acknowledges that these terms have been read and accepted.

Bazar Suisse describes its products with care. Photographs are illustrative and slight differences in colour, material or finish may occur. All offers are subject to availability.

Prices are shown in Swiss francs and include VAT. Any conversion into euros or US dollars is for guidance only. Delivery charges and any import duties or taxes are not included in the product price.

An order becomes final once it has been confirmed on the website and an order confirmation has been sent. Bazar Suisse may refuse or cancel an order in the event of unavailability, an obvious pricing error, incomplete information, suspected fraud or a previous dispute.

Customers pay using one of the methods offered at checkout. Secure online payments are processed by Stripe. For a bank transfer, Bazar Suisse’s bank details and the payment reference are provided in the order summary and confirmation email; the customer then makes the payment directly through their own bank.

An order paid by bank transfer remains pending until the full amount has been credited to our account. It is then marked as paid and preparation can begin. No goods are prepared, dispatched, delivered or handed over before full payment has been confirmed.

Orders may be delivered to the address provided by the customer or collected free of charge from Bazar Suisse, Grand-Rue 24 in Montreux. For collection, we notify customers as soon as their order is ready; it remains awaiting collection until handed over at the shop.

Delivery times begin after payment has been received and are estimates only: 2 to 5 working days for Switzerland, 15 to 30 days for Europe and 20 to 30 days for the rest of the world.

Parcels are sent through Swiss Post. Depending on the destination and service, tracking or delivery against signature may apply. Fragile and oversized items are packed with appropriate protection.

Shipping charges include preparation, packaging, handling and postage. They depend on the destination, weight, volume and delivery method and are shown before final confirmation. Separate orders cannot automatically be combined and each order may incur its own shipping charge.

7.1 International Delivery

Shipments outside Switzerland may be subject to customs duties, local VAT, import taxes or other charges collected in the destination country. These costs are payable by the recipient, who is responsible for checking local requirements.

Requests must be sent to Bazar Suisse within seven working days of receipt. Returns require prior approval and products must be complete, unused, in perfect condition and in their original packaging. Return postage is paid by the customer. Original shipping charges are not refundable and a restocking deduction of up to 20% may apply. Personalised, engraved, opened or otherwise unsaleable products cannot be returned.

The customer must inspect the goods on receipt and report any damage or missing item without delay. Warranty rights are limited to those provided by the manufacturer and by mandatory law. Bazar Suisse is not liable for damage caused by improper use, normal wear or failure to follow instructions.

Bazar Suisse is not liable for any delay or failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including transport disruption, disaster, conflict, strike, government action or a major supplier failure.

Information required for an order is used to manage the customer account, payment, delivery and after-sales service. It is shared only with service providers needed for these purposes or where required by law.

The website’s texts, photographs, logos, illustrations and other content are protected. They may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission.

Swiss law applies. Subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction, the courts of Montreux, Switzerland, have jurisdiction.
