Description
With a raised fist and a microphone stand in hand, this figurine captures the pose of the Freddie Mercury statue on the Montreux waterfront. Cast in epoxy resin, it reproduces the original sculpture on a base bearing the inscription "Lover of Life, Singer of Songs".

About this product
Freddie Mercury regarded Montreux as his adopted home and found a place there, particularly at Mountain Studios, to create his final works. The original statue, standing 3 metres tall, was unveiled in 1996, five years after his death, in the presence of Montserrat Caballé and his mother, Jer Bulsara, among others. This reproduction is sold exclusively through Queenonline and the Bazar Suisse shop in Montreux. Part of the proceeds from each sale goes to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an organisation based in England that fights AIDS worldwide.
