Description
Traditional carved-wood cuckoo clock with music, wound once a week.
It calls once every half hour and sounds the corresponding number of hours on each full hour.
Mechanical movement with a chime shut-off lever. The dial, hands and even the bird are carved from wood. The roof is covered with wooden shingles made from hundreds of small pieces cut and glued by hand!
While the music plays, the mill and the dancing couples turn as the farmer milks the cow.
To wind it every 8 days, simply pull the chains to raise the three weights.
Size: 53 cm, 21 inches high and 43 cm, 17 inches wide (excluding the weights and pendulum)
